Shaping the future of livestock farming through research

As part of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the French ministry of Agriculture and Food is organising a conference on “Shaping the Future of Livestock Farming Through Research” in Paris, France, and as hybrid event.

During this conference experts from all over the EU will gather in Paris to reflect on the needs for research on beneficial livestock farming practices that promote health, animal and human welfare, all while meeting the needs of farmers and citizens.

Technical hearing on the draft scientific guidance on data required for the risk assessment of flavourings in foods

EFSA is organising a Technical hearing on the draft scientific guidance on data required for the risk assessment of flavourings in foods which will take place online on the 25th of May 2022.

The overall aim of the workshop is to exchange views on the approach developed in the draft scientific guidance, which describes the scientific data required for the risk assessment of food flavourings. The workshop is aimed at all interested stakeholders.

The deadline to register is the 19th of May. Further details on the online event and on how to register are available on the dedicated page on the EFSA website.

Public consultation - draft guidance on the data required for the risk assessment of flavourings to be used in or on foods

EFSA's Food Ingredients and Packaging unit has launched an open consultation on the draft guidance on the data required for the risk assessment of flavourings to be used in or on foods.

This document provides guidance to applicants on the data required for the evaluation of flavourings to be used in or on foods. It applies to application for new authorisations as well as for modifications of existing authorisations of food flavourings, submitted under Regulation (EC) No 1331/2008.

Interested parties can submit comments by 19 June 2022 through this link.
