EU-FORA – The European Food Risk Assessment Fellowship Programme

Deadline to form consortium: March 14^th, 2023

The European Food Risk Assessment (EU-FORA) Fellowship Programme is a key initiative for ensuring preparedness for future risk analysis needs. The programme keeps evolving based on seven years of experience, the implementation of 94 work programmes, and the participation of more than 70 supervisors from 43 organisations in 18 different EU Member States and the UK and over 100 fellows that now constitute the EU-FORA Alumni.

The programme aims to increase the pool of food safety risk assessment experts available in Europe and stimulate the involvement of Member States in risk assessment work, all with the ultimate objective of building a common EU culture for risk assessment.

EFSA is currently running the call to select hosting sites and fellows. New entries from institutes searching for consortium partners are made every week. More information can be found here.

Scientific Officer - Entomology/Plant Pathology

Deadline: January 25^th, 2024

EFSA is looking for highly motivated and talented scientists who will contribute to ensuring plant health in Europe and support the preparedness of the European Union to new plant health risks, mainly through active participation in the activities related to statistics and risk based surveillance in the area of plant health. The successful candidate can also be asked to contribute to other plant health risk assessment activities performed by EFSA in support of the new EU plant health law, such as horizon scanning to identify new plant health threats or risk assessment for new and emerging plant pests.
